Delicates
iTunes: Florence And The Machine, Dog Days Are Over
This is my final project for my Cold Construction Class with Jessica Jane Julius. Our project was on the topic of identity and we had to experiment slumping and fusing glass in the kiln. I made plaster molds of underwear, bras, and socks. The bras did not work as expected but overall I was pretty satisfied with the outcome. They look more like fossils than anything but I really wanted to experiment replicating the movement of fabric into glass. It was more of an experimental piece and I feel like this was a great launching point for further exploration. I really want to revisit this project in my next Cold Construction class.
