For this assignment we had to do the same study process as before but instead of only doing one painting, Donna told me to do two, and forgot the next week, the proceeded to compliment herself because it was a good idea.
The first one I did was on a stretched canvas using liquid flow release and the other was on a pre-stretched and pre- primed canvas, so they are two very different constructs of the same study.
The bottom one is flipped because Donna enjoyed the back of the painting more than the front so I had to re-stretch the canvas backwards.
They are both around 12"x14" so they are relatively small paintings, also not the most serious I've done by far but to my surprise I got a good critique, so no complaining here.
Yesterday I applied at a job in Old City, and walked around for a bit to Benjamin Franklin's house and around there. I also got $1 coins back from a change machine from parking, which I thought was very strange. The guy told me they were "up and coming again"... I hope not. Anyways I would love to work in Old City.
Also I'm starting a long awaited painting of one of my Dad's friends. It's an old boxing photo and I'm really excited to see how it will turn out.
