The Outsiders by S.E. Hinton has always been one of my favorite stories since I was a kid. When this project was first introduced I instantly thought of Robert Frost's poem Nothing Gold Can Stay.  I also wanted to incorporate the note one of the main characters, Johnny, wrote to his best friend, Ponyboy, before he died from the fire.  I wanted to use both texts on the same picture but I didn't want things to look too chaotic and lose the meaning behind them.  This is why I decided to make three different pictures, playing around with different styles all to convey different meanings each time.
