Artist Shawn Barber's series of portraits are easily influential because of the subjects. Barber is known for portraits of other artists, friends, and even celebrities, some sporting many tattoos; some not at all. One of the reasons he has had an influence on me is because of his style. Barber's style is very realistic and smooth yet all his own. The idea of tattoo portraits is pretty exciting to me because it is never ending. Although my Mother would kill me if i ever got a tattoo, the idea of displaying the body with artwork on it through a portrait will always interest me.
